About Us
The history of St. Mary's Syro-Malabar Mission, Sunshine Coast, began in 2011, when approximately 30 devoted Syro-Malabar Catholic families from all over the Sunshine Coast gathered in Caloundra to celebrate the Holy Qurbana as a faith community, with Fr. Thomas Areekuzhy serving as the celebrant. Following this initial gathering, the community was blessed with the continued support of visiting priests. Notably, a retreat was led by Fr. Tom Thomas Kunnumpuram and his team in November 2013, followed by a retreat led by Fr. Bobby Vadakkel in June 2014.
